Adventures of the Mask or The Mask Adventures #3 was first published in March 1996 in Canada and the United States of the episode called it’s a dog’s life.

Plot Summary[]

Stanley and Peggy take Milo to Landfill Park when Milo end up growling and barking at a cat up a tree because his owner named Stanley tell him to stop growling and barking at that cat by giving him some dog biscuits to calm him down after he and his owner are walking in the park when his owner was talking to Peggy meanwhile a Dalmatian has black ears came out in the middle of nowhere and it took Peggy’s handbag but Milo chase after the Dalmatian when his owner let go of his lead because he and the Dalmatian run into a bush but Stanley and Peggy search inside of the bush because Milo and the Dalmatian didn’t came out of it.

Back at Stanley Ipkiss' Apartment but Stanley is really upset because his little dog named Milo has gone missing and he went to get the Not Ordinary Mask out of his closet the one which it turns him into the green headed maniac has huge teeth, no hair, no ears and no eyebrows wears a yellow zoot suit by making his voice sound funny When it goes round on top of his head and spinning him around like a tornado so he decides to put it on so that his alter-ego The Mask will help him find his little dog.

but he put it on because he couldn’t stop getting upset when he wearing the not ordinary Mask and he end up dressing up as Judy Garland’s Live action character named Dorothy from the 1939 film called the Wizard of Oz when he is in black and white.

But he then hears someone knocking on his apartment room door and he hide into Milo’s Dog bowl when he turns into a green golden fish then tells Peggy to open the door so she checks out who it is.

Which it turns out it is Lieutenant Kellaway and Detective Doyle and they end up searching Stanley’s Apartment, Doyle see a green golden fish in a fish bowl and Kellaway looked at the green golden fish but he didn’t know that fish is really Stanley Ipkiss wearing The Not Ordinary Mask.

that green headed maniac does not reveal himself to them but he spits water on Kellaway’s face so Kellaway and Doyle left Stanley’s apartment.

Stanley comes out of Milo’s Bowl by dressing himself up as a super Dogcatcher wearing a cape and he decides to look at magazine of dogs.

When he and Peggy came outside and he turned his car into a dog control van with the word said muttobile when he and Peggy end up searching for Milo but Lieutenant Kellaway and Detective Doyle are in their Detective car when they saw That green headed maniac driving that dog control van and they chase after the van, but the van was too fast for them.

When the van show up at Landfill Park, Stanley transforms his green human head into a green bloodhound’s head and he follow the saint where Milo chase after the Dalmatian into that Bush when he and Peggy way into the Bush and they saw a bone sticking out of the ground, but Peggy pull the bone and the ground open like a door does a leader lot of stairs.

Because Stanley and Peggy go down the stairs, when Peggy saw her handbag on a pile of stolen handbags but Stanley hear Milo barking and they saw there was a whole pack of dogs because they are growing at Stanley and Peggy.

But Stanley takes a look at one of dogs and he see Milo, which Stanley is really glad because he found his little dog but Milo didn’t remember his owner when his owner was wearing the not ordinary Mask in a lovely and affection way shows him the butt, and he bites him on the butt.

When Stanley hears someone saying to him because he turns around and he see a dog creature but it is wearing boys clothing because it standing beside the dogs but Stanley thinks the dog creature has a human inside of it and he end up dressing up as a psychiatrist right at him but he asked the dog creature how did he end up looking like that.

The dog creature explains his backstory to Stanley mean he used to be a human but his dad was a scientist who did a lot of experiments on animals because the trouble was when his dad give him a flu Jag with the wrong antidote and it turn him into a dog creature when Stanley ends up feeling sorry to him.

But the dog creature stop being upset and he end up calling himself as the Dober-Man but he tells the dogs to attack Stanley because the dogs chase Stanley round in a big circle when he dress up as a mailman wearing shorts.

But the dog creature grab Stanley on the neck to stop him for running round in circles and he punches Stanley on the Cheek.

When Stanley take the Not ordinary Mask off His head to stop his little dog from attacking him because Milo see his owner have hair, ears and eyebrows but he finally remembers of him when he jump off his owner’s stomach and he attack the dog creature.

When Stanley put the Not ordinary Mask back on but it turn him into The Green Headed Man and he end up dressing up as Elvis Presley.

he then pours dog biscuits over the dog creature which the dogs attack that monster and the dog creature was defeated by that Green headed man.

But Lieutenant Kellaway and Detective Doyle show up at Landfall Park when Kellaway goes into the Bush and Stanley surprises him by turning the dog creature over to Lieutenant Kellaway for dog napping when he, Milo and Peggy sends the dogs back to their rightful owners.

When Stanley was glad because he has his little dog named Milo back.

Trivia[]

For some reason The Mask has red stripes on his yellow suit in this issue.
The Mask shows how smart he is, by turning himself into a fish in a water bowl, then tells Peggy to open the door for whoever knocking at the door. He stays that way throughout it all, even when Kellaway insults him, he just spits water at him instead of revealing himself to him, showing despite being wild, chaotic and childish, The Mask knows just how important it is not to let anyone know he and Stanley are one and the same person.
