Malled is the twentieth episode of The Mask: The Animated Series.

Summary[]

When Lonnie the Shark and his men rob a bank at the new mega-mall with Stanley caught in the crossfire, Milo must bring the Mask to Stanley.

Plot[]

The Mask raids a bakery and steals a massive amount of pastries, which he brings home. Meanwhile, Mayor Tilton has opened Edge City's new Mega Mall, which just so happens to contain a branch of Edge City Savings Bank. Stanley is glad he doesn't have to work in such a crowded place, but unfortunately, Charlie once again shoves his responsibilities into Stanley and tells him to operate the Mega Mall's branch in his place.

Just as Stanley begins working on the Mega Mall's bank, a gang of bikers breaks into the mall and start taking hostages, Stanley included. Stanley attempts to distract him and sound the alarm, but the gang's leader, Lonnie the Shark, stops him. A security guard, however, successfully sounds the alarm and the entire mall is under lockdown. Nobody gets in or out. Unfortunately, the only cops that answer to the alarm are Kellaway and Doyle, for the rest of the police force had been called on a manhunt for whoever robbed Edge Ciy's bakery.

While the other hostages are moved to the mall's atrium, Stanley is forced to broadcast a message about the hostage situation on live TV. Milo watches the broadcast on TV and decides to put on the Mask so he can save Stanley. Unfortunately, he gets distracted by a bus and ends up travelling to the outskirts of the city, where finds the world's largest fire hydrant. Only after urinating next to the hydrant does Milo remember that he has to save Stanley, so he speeds back into city.

Meanwhile, Stanley sneaks into the security room and attempts to communicate with Kellaway about the situation in the mall but gets caught by Lonnie and forced to run on a treadmill as punishment. Fortunately, Milo breaks into the mall just in time to deliver the Mask to Stanley, who escapes from the treadmill and prevents Lonnie and his thugs from escaping the mall in a helicopter.

Just as the Mask freezes Lonnie and the thugs solid, Kellaway receives news from his fellow cops that they are closing to finding the culprit for bakery theft. The Mask runs back home and dumps all the pastries he had stolen into Mrs. Peenman's apartment, causing her to be arrested instead.
